This group is for poets
Poets who know what real emotion is.

The ones who don't just right a poem
to be 'cool' or 'emo' or whatever

And Im not just talking about poets
who write about pain, hurt....anger
But also the ones who write about their
Love, happiness, joy,
Sadness, Lust, anxiety,
fear...
and all those other numerous feelings that live in the human body.

At everything I hide

But that's because we're different people

With different motives and minds

And when I see you

And all that you stand for

I turn and walk away

As it was in the days before

I'm my own individual

And as insecure as I may be

There are things I know

That you will never see

I don't follow trends

Nor submit to gossip or fads

Those people are just covering

Things they never had

I can not be bought or sold

By low lives or the fake

Instead I am rather proud

Of the mess I am today

You can purchase all materials

And cover them in gold

But I would not be impressed

That Darn Fly"That Darn Fly"

It all started one night when I was trying

To swat a fly buzzing around my head

And all around the house

Even when I went to bed.

This fly was driving me insane

Resting on window panes and

Prancing through the hallways

As if he owned the place.

Imagine me breaking my things

Like a stereo system and a television screen

In order to kill an insect

No bigger than the ring on my finger.

I used a baseball bat to smash

Glass, furniture, and plaster

And anywhere else that darn fly

Landed on so it could die.

So finally I got this brilliant idea

To light a match and catch

That darn fly by burning his

Dreams of pen tips, future lies
Tragic stories, quotes of the wise
Nights have carved their dark, deep valleys
In the hollows of my eyes

For you see, my friend, when writers cry
There are no tears, their cheeks are dry
But ink dipped fingers, worn out wrists
Chewed up nails and bloody fists

You see, it's strange when writers cry
Their hearts are true, their words don’t lie
They mourn in silence for a few days
Of paper cuts and tear-less haze

Of coffee mugs and smoky paper
Liquid spills, and water vapor
Sorry dreams and wasted hours
Putrid smells and dying flowers

^{Hello all!
I hope you are doing well and enjoying your time off!

Anyway . . . I am sorry if I sounded angry last journal entry. Although truthfully, I was.

I was very angry.

Even though it was mostly my fault, I made so many folders at once . . . it was a bit overwhelming. For all of us.

Everything's good now though. :]
Most of you have gotten the hang of the folders, but if you're still confused, read here - [link]

Along with the new folders, we've had several groups affiliate with us!

I would like to point out, #PoeticalCondition has been going through some difficult times
lately and is trying very hard to bring the group back to life. They have prompts, contest, features, a critiquing group planned and would absolutely love a visit from you!

Also, I believe there are several affiliates having contests right now. So if you are curious to which
ones, please go to the main page of the group and visit some of our affiliates!

And . . . I just want to thank all of you for putting up with me and my silly ideas.
